Despite the primacy of the World Cup at the moment, the arts season has begun here in San Telmo with several galleries having opened significant exhibitions. Later on in the month, the city’s biggest arts exhibition, arteBA, will run for 5 days and feature artists, dealers, collectors and galleries from all over Argentina and the world.
Zavaleta Lab’s opening of Marcelo Pombo’s newest exhibition made the biggest splash. A handful of celebrities were in attendance including Gaston Gaudio, hunky Argentine tennis star. We covered it over on my Buenos Aires arts blog, Juanele:

One of my favorite local artists and a favorite of those who have taken my art walk, Alejandro Bovo Theiler, presented a new show of his sculptures and dolls at Laguanacazul: Chi comanda? or Who Rules?
